Teweka joined The Law Offices of Careton R. Matthews as Legal Assistant and the firm’s first employee in August of 1998. As a Legal Assistant at the firm, Teweka has worked in many capacities and aspects of the legal field. Currently, Teweka’s duties include drafting demands and legal documents, interviewing new clients during intake process, managing the personal injury files from start to completion, filing legal documents, and other administrative tasks. When you have been injured, your primary focus is on getting into treatment to address the pain and suffering you are experiencing. As an experienced Legal Assistant and case manager, Teweka knows precisely how to ease your mind, and take the lead with helping you navigate dealing with the insurance company, getting into treatment, obtaining the crash report, pictures, rentals, etc.
Teweka has a passion for helping people, counseling, and a love for healthcare. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She is a native of Decatur, GA; and currently resides in Lithonia, GA. She has two young adult children; one who serves in the United States Army. When Teweka is not working at the firm you can find her baking and designing cakes. She is the owner of Cakes by Teweka, a home-based bakery. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with family, and singing. She also serves as a member of her church choir and a member of the FABS Network, Atlanta Chapter.
